(일반논문) 집단 트라우마와 구술증언채록, 어떻게 할 것인가 / 염미경

어떻게 10·19의 기록될 수 없었던 자료를 수집해 10·19 역사를 복원하 고 재구성할 것인가 하는 문제와 관련해, 이 논문에서는 가장 시급한 작업 은 기록되지 않은 구술사 자료와 같은 자료원의 확보라고 보고, 10·19 구 술사 자료수집과 연구를 어떻게 할 것인가를 논의해보고자 하였다. 이 연 구의 논의 결과 다음과 같은 점들을 확인할 수 있다. 우선 10·19 사건 당 시 여수·순천 일대는 아수라장이었을 것인데, 제주4·3과 같이 가족관계 등록부가 작성되지 않았거나 사실과 다르게 기록되었을 경우 그 작성이나 기록을 정정할 수 있게 실행 노력이 필요하다는 점이다. 다음으로 10·19 진상 규명을 위한 자료, 특히 구술사 자료수집의 범위를 초국적 수준으로 확대할 필요가 있다. 10·19 시기 국내의 지역 밖으로 그리고 일본으로 피 신, 탈출한 사람들의 존재와 경험, 특히 이주와 정착과정 및 그 이후의 삶 에 대한 구술생애사 자료 수집이 필요하다. 이를 통해 10·19에 직·간접적 으로 연루된 다양한 사람들의 유형화가 가능할 것이다. 따라서 초지역적, 초국적 조사 연구 계획과 실행이 필요하다. 이와 관련해 10·19특별법을 통해 국가가 10·19를 인정하고 공적으로, 제도적으로 의제화 한 점은 중 요한데, 10·19로 고통을 당해왔던 지역민과 유족의 마음을 치유할 수 있 는 후속 조치가 가능하기 위해서는 10·19운동세력 및 시민사회의 연대가 필요하고, 이를 토대로 국내외 운동 세력과 네트워크와 연결하고 공감과 공동의 연대를 모색하는 노력이 병행될 필요가 있다.

Abstract

How to investigate group trauma and oral testimony records

Regarding the question of how to restore and reconstruct the history of Yeosun 10·19 by collecting the data that could not be recorded on Yeosun 10·19, this paper considers that the most urgent task is to secure sources such as unrecorded oral history materials, and to discuss how to collect and research the data on the Yeosun 10·19 oral history. As a result of the discussion of this study, the following points can be confirmed. First of all, it is confirmed that the Yeosu and Suncheon areas must have been in chaos at the time of the Yeosun 10·19 incident, and that if the family relation register was not created or was recorded incorrectly as in Jeju 4·3, it is necessary to make an effort to correct the creation or record. Next, it is necessary to expand the scope of the collection of data for the investigation of the Yeosun 10·19 facts, especially oral history, to the transnational level. It is necessary to collect oral life history data on the existence and experiences of those who fled and escaped from outside the country and to Japan during the Yeosun 10·19 period, especially on the process of migration and settlement and their lives thereafter. This will make it possible to categorize the various people who were directly or indirectly involved in Yeosun 10·19.
